Welcome to planDisney, Kathy! Thanks so much for this fabulous question. Your
Walt Disney World Resort visit is just around the river bend, so let's talk about what's in store for your trip.
It looks like you're planning to stay at the Westgate Town Center Resort, and I'm happy to say this resort is around 10 miles from the
Theme Parks. You'll be pretty close to all the Disney magic! Since this resort is not part of the
Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel program, it does not offer perks like shuttles to the parks. I spoke to the concierge at the hotel, and she recommended you explore ride-share options like Lyft to get to and from the parks. This would be at your own expense, but you'd have flexibility in your travel around town.
If you still need to decide where to stay, my number one tip is to explore
Disney Resort Hotels on property. You'll be close to the theme parks, plus they offer many
benefits, such as
complimentary transportation for your entire stay. A bonus is you can enter all four theme parks 30 minutes before non-resort guests, and if you stay at a Deluxe Resort, you can enjoy the benefit of
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours on select nights at specific parks. My family loves the value of
Disney's Pop Century Resort with its fun and colorful theming. This resort offers quick and easy transportation to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT via the Disney Skyliner.
Kathy, I hope your visit next month is full of memories and magic. Please
stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
