Hi Nadine,
Thanks for sailing by planDisney again! You must be excited to have a
Disney Cruise Line vacation on the horizon!
Disney Cruise Line does not offer drink packages in the way that you may think of them on other cruise lines, but there are several alternatives that, in my opinion, are great options.
First, be on the lookout for the specially priced drink of the day offered on board. These are usually the most popular offerings and have a fun vacation feel to them.
Second, among my favorite Disney Cruise Line events are the
Beverage Tastings. The mixologists in the lounges host these events and they are incredibly knowledgeable in their profession and make learning fun! The beverage tastings have taught me so much about the complexities of bourbon, tequila, wine and martinis, all aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship! Now, one of my favorite beverage seminars was on
Disney Castaway Cay, a perfect setting for learning about Caribbean rum. I suggest booking these Cruise Activity offerings as soon as your
booking window opens because they are so popular. You can do this on the Disney Cruise Line website by signing in to
My Reservations under the Already Booked tab or on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
Nadine, another great option if you enjoy a good pint, is the Refillable Beer Mug offering. You receive a 21 oz glass mug and then you can refill it for the cost of a 16 oz beer at any bar or restaurant on the ship that serves draft beer. You won’t have to carry the mug with you all over the ship. You can exchange it for a beer mug token which you then present the next time you are ready for a refill. At the end of your cruise, you will receive a mug as a souvenir! This package is available for purchase before the cruise. Simply navigate to
Onboard Gifts under Already Booked, and look for Beer Mug Package. You can also purchase it once on board.
Finally,
Guests 21 years of age or older may bring two bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750 ml) or six beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage and at each port of call. These beverages must be packed in carry-on (not checked) bags or luggage. Alcohol brought on board may not be consumed in any lounge or public area. Guests wishing to consume wine or champagne that they have brought on board in one of the dining rooms will be charged a corking fee of $26.00 per bottle (price subject to change).
Nadine, I hope this information is helpful as you plan for your vacation. Please cruise by again if you have other questions!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
