As of November 8, there is was no timeframe for when the Disney Christmas decorations come down, Is there an updated time on when the Christmas decorations will come down at Walt Disney World? Happy holidays. Thank you Mark.

Welcome to planDisney, Mark! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. Christmas is my favorite time of year at Walt Disney World Resort, and a huge part of that is the decorations that go up around the Theme Parks and Disney Resorts Collection Hotels. There's something really special about that extra layer of pixie dust that gets sprinkled at this time of year!

Mark, there is no official end date for the Christmas decorations at Walt Disney World Resort, and the timing of their disappearance can vary from year to year. Last year, the decorations remained up at least partway through Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend but, in years past, they have come down in advance of the races starting. The race weekend is between January 3 and January 7, 2024, so we can probably expect it to happen sometime during that timeframe. The best, most accurate information I can give you is that the decorations typically come down in the first week of January. This happens in phases, so you may see the Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A., still up while all the luminaries have come down at Disney's Animal Kingdom, but it's tough to say with any certainty what will still be up when you arrive. I know it's not exactly the answer you're looking for, but I hope you'll still be able to catch a bit of Christmas cheer on your trip at the beginning of 2024.

    Have a magical day, Mark!
