What would be the best travel route and modes of transportation to see the holiday decorations at the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian, ride the skyline and visit the boardwalk? Can we park at one of the resorts and take the monorail for everything?

Welcome to planDisney, Tera! I'm so glad that I get to answer your question today because the holiday season is my favorite time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. Doing a tour of the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels to check out the holiday decorations is a tradition for my family every year, so I'm happy to let you know what the best route is to see all the things you want to see.

Tera, parking at Disney Resorts Collection Hotels is reserved for Guests staying there and those with dining reservations, so I recommend starting your tour by parking at Disney's Hollywood Studios. From there, take the Disney Skyliner over to Disney's BoardWalk Inn and check out the gingerbread display and the decorations! When you're done, hop on a bus and head over to Magic Kingdom Park. You'll be able to jump on the monorail from there and take it a few stops to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. This Resort Hotel has a really special vibe at Christmas, and it's always a must-see stop for my family! Then, you can take the monorail one more stop and end with a bang at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the quintessential holiday season Resort. It's home to the giant gingerbread house and a Christmas tree that's nearly 40 feet tall! You're going to get some amazing photos here, and maybe some drinks and snacks at Enchanted Rose. When you're ready to head back to your car, take the monorail one stop back to Magic Kingdom Park and catch the bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

I hope this answers your question, Tera, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
