Hi Sandy!
Thanks so much for your question. I always visit with some essentials packed to make my day easier. As one of my favorite characters, Edna Mode (the super-suit designer in "The Incredibles"), says: Luck favors the prepared!
Guests are welcome to bring a bag or backpack with them to the parks, there are just a few requirements around the size and items you can bring. You can check the
Park Rules and Regulations to see what is and isn't allowed. You're welcome to bring a clear bag, but you can also bring a regular purse or backpack! Just make sure that your bag isn't any larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high and you should be fine. All bags are subject to search at the security checkpoint, so plan a little bit of time for that process in your day.
A few of the things I love to keep in my park bag are:
- A portable charger for my cell phone so that I don't run out of pixie dust (or battery) when I'm using the Disneyland Mobile App
- Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat if that's your style
- Snacks like crackers, granola bars, and even grapes and carrots for hungry kids (and adults)
- A couple of bandages (no one likes surprise blisters on their feet) and some over-the-counter painkillers in case someone gets a headache
I prefer to take a backpack so I can wear a jacket or sweatshirt in the morning, then put it away during the day until it's cool again after the sun sets. It's nice to have someplace to put a souvenir or two, as well!
It looks like your visit is soon, Sandy! Get that park bag ready so you're prepared to have an
incredible day in the parks, ok?
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
