Has the NNSHP been cancelled for 10/11/2024?

Hey there, Carla! I would typically use a lot of spooky puns when answering a question about Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but given the circumstances, I am not sure our spirits are up for it.

Currently, Walt Disney World Resort is operating under normal conditions, meaning there have been no announced closures for the theme parks. They are continuously monitoring the weather and forecasts to make the best decisions for the safety of Cast Members and Guests.

The best source of information online is Disney's weather updates. Watching the site last night, I saw the announcement regarding a few resort area closures starting on Wednesday in advance of the storm making its way to Central Florida. As Milton is projected to make landfall on Wednesday, I would expect more announcements to come as it gets closer.

If you are concerned about traveling to Orlando with the hurricane warning, Disney is allowing Guests to reschedule or cancel their Walt Disney World vacation package and most resort-only reservations. I don't know where you are in your travels, but this is an option to consider if you are planning on staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel and have not yet arrived in the area.

If you have only purchased a special event ticket to party with Mickey and his pals, I would check the weather updates for information about cancellations and any directions provided for Guests with a ticket to this haunted evening. If the party is canceled and you are unsure what to do, call the Existing Tickets contact line. Cast Members will know what accommodations Disney is offering Guests with event tickets.

I know watching, waiting and not knowing can be as unsettling as the Ghost Host's deep baritone voice echoing through Magic Kingdom Park. I just encourage you to do what is best for your family's health, safety and comfort.

If you have any other questions, I hope you'll stop back by planDisney. Hopefully, we'll soon return to the days of delighting in eerie puns. They are spell-tacular!

    Stay Safe and Happy Haunting!
