Hi there, Laura Frances!
Thanks for stopping back by planDisney as you prepare for your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. It sounds like you'll be headed into the magic in just a few short weeks, so let's get right to your question!
As a Mouseketeer who has been fortunate enough to experience Walt Disney World Resort throughout the calendar year, I'm delighted to confirm that October is one of my favorite months to grab my favorite pair of mouse ears and make some magical memories! By October, the peak summer temperatures (and humidity!) have subsided. Although you'll still encounter sporadic showers, the temperatures are typically somewhere between 60° and 80° Fahrenheit throughout the day. With this weather in mind, you'll always find a disposable poncho in my park bag and a sweater tied around my waist during my autumnal visits!
Since American schools are back in session (with the exception of a mid-month break many schools celebrate to mark the end of a grading period), you'll typically find that weekdays during the month of October bring lighter crowd levels and shorter wait times. Of course,
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party draws Guests to Magic Kingdom Park throughout the month, and these numbers reach their peak as the holiday approaches.
Since you'll be visiting during the spooky season, Laura Frances, I encourage you to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as your vacation approaches to see what seasonal celebrations (be sure to snap a photo of the Mickey pumpkins) you might anticipate. As always, you're also welcome to come visit us at
planDisney with any additional magical inquiries you may have. We're always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
