Hiya Lumumba,
Welcome to planDisney! Congratulations on your happily ever after! I wish you and your wife all of the happiness in the world. No matter when you plan to visit, don’t forget to swing by Guest Services to pick up a Celebration button; that way, Cast Members (and other Guests) can also congratulate you.
Now, on to your excellent question! Florida residency is determined by having a valid form of Florida identification that provides proof of a Florida residential address. I know you mentioned that your wife is a Florida resident, and you primarily live in Maryland, so I’m not sure if you have that. If you have a valid Florida Driver’s License or state-issued ID showing a Florida address, that is all you need, even if you have an additional residence in another state. If you do not have this, there are
other forms of residency, such as a current utility bill dated no more than two months ago in your name, proof of current mortgage, bills, registration, and certain pieces of mail. Unfortunately, Lumumba, if you do not have any of these forms of residency, you would not be able to purchase
Theme Park tickets at the Florida Resident rate (even if your wife is able to).
I hope this was helpful, Lumumba. Please come back and see
us if you need anything else, and once again, congratulations.
Happy Planning!
Ashley F.
