My wife and I are planning on moving to Florida for part of the year and renting a house. What proof would we need to show Florida residency?

Hi Ronald! I'm always happy to help a fellow NJ resident, even if they will be here only part-time soon!

To take advantage of available deals specifically offered to Florida residents, you would need to show proof of residence. You can find a list of acceptable documents on the Proof of Residence page of the website. You will need this proof to activate any offers and use any Florida-resident theme park tickets.

Being a resident of the Sunshine State definitely has its perks if you are planning on visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. Not only are you closer to the resort than the rest of the world, but special offers are often available. Plus, there are a few different tiers of Annual Passes that are only available to Florida residents when they are on sale.

And this is a great time to be moving closer to the Most Magical Place on Earth. On October 16, 2023, Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana will be opening in EPCOT. This immersive walkthrough attraction is getting rave reviews from its previews and I can't wait to experience it. Also, a brand-new nighttime spectacular, Luminous the Symphony of Us, is going to debut on World Showcase Lagoon in EPCOT on December 5, 2023. Plus, the complete transformation of this park should be completed by the end of this year. Then, there's Tiana's Bayou Adventure opening in late 2024 in Magic Kingdom Park. Not to mention the Cake Bake Shop Restaurant by Gwendolyn Rogers opening in early 2024 on Disney's BoardWalk and Summer House on the Lake opening in Disney Springs. And I'm sure that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Ronald, best wishes with the move and enjoy your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Please reach out to me if you have any other questions in the future!

Curiosity keeps leading us down new paths,
    Matt
