Hi, I am a new annual pass holder and I was wondering if I need to make park reservations when I visit in February? Or am I able to just show up to the park I want to attend that day? Thank you!

Hi Gillian and welcome to planDisney!

Congratulations on becoming a Walt Disney World Passholder!  We have been Passholders for as long as I can remember and I love being able to pop over as often as possible.  We take frequent day trips, weekend getaways and longer adventures all the time and having annual passes to the theme parks makes doing that so easy.  As a Passholder, you can now take advantage of complimentary theme park parking and discounts on Disney Resort hotel stays, merchandise and Disney dining!

There are some changes being made regarding theme park reservations in 2024, but Guests with annual passes will still need reservations prior to visiting the theme parks.  Currently, only Guests with specific date based tickets do not need reservations in 2024, but Passholders still do.  A recent change for Passholders is that we can visit the parks after 2:00 PM without a reservation (except for Magic Kingdom Park on Saturday or Sunday), so if you're planning on visiting one of the theme parks after 2:00 PM as your first park of the day, you can go right ahead without making a reservation.  I see that you will be visiting in just a couple of months.  How exciting!  If your dates are solidified, go ahead and make your theme park reservations now to assure entry when you get there.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
