I am new account holder, are there any perks Aug 21-25?

Hi, Tara! Welcome to planDisney, and WELCOME HOME to a brand-new Member of Disney Vacation Club! I'm so pleased to hear that you will be heading to Walt Disney World next week. There are all sorts of great benefits that you can explore during your vacation, and I'll be happy to walk you through just a few to get you started!

Your first order of business is to make sure your digital DVC Membership Card is set up in the My Disney Experience app, as you'll need to show this to receive any deals and discounts. It's also your key to accessing the Member Lounges, which are great places to enjoy a break during a busy day in the theme parks. To get your Membership Card set up, open the app and select the "☰" icon in the lower right corner. Scroll down to "Account" and select "Set Up MagicMobile Entry". You'll then be able to create a new pass that you can show to Cast Members as verification of your Membership. The pass is also customizable, and there's all sorts of fun designs to choose from. I have the DOLE Whip version, in honor of my favorite Disney snack!

Tara, your vacation timing is practically perfect, as you'll be at Walt Disney World during the last week of DVC Welcome Home Weeks. This is a summertime celebration for DVC Members, with a variety of different experiences, enhanced discounts, and complimentary treats offered daily. Be sure to check out the calendar for Walt Disney World, which shows the specifics for each day of your trip!

Beyond the perks available for Welcome Home Weeks, you should definitely take a break from packing to check out the Member Benefits section of the DVC website. This is always one of my go-to resources when we're planning our next Disney vacation - you'll find a lengthy list of discounts on dining, shopping, and some tickets and tours. It's a fun way to discover new experiences whenever you travel!

Last, but certainly not least, you and your crew can enjoy a free visit to either of the Disney water parks on your check-in day! This benefit is available for Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel through September 8, and includes the DVC resorts. You can drop your bags with Bell Services and hop on one of the complimentary Disney buses from your resort to enjoy either Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park or Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. It's a great way to kick off your vacation!

I hope this information is just what you need to enjoy all of the benefits of your brand-new DVC Membership, Tara! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, and please come see us again anytime if we can help with other questions about your upcoming trip, or how to maximize the magic of your Membership.

    Stay Magical!
