Hello there Nikita, I'd like to wish you a warm wilderness explorer's welcome to planDisney!
Nothing brings me more joy than the idea of setting out on an expedition to observe wildlife, and
the special tours and animal encounters found at Walt Disney World Resort offer an extra special look behind the scenes into their lives as well as the specialized Cast Members who care for them at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
As I was visiting the village of Harambe, I strolled up to the kiosk set up for the tours adjacent to
Kilimanjaro Safaris to ask the Cast Members there about the requirements for anyone looking to book the offering called:
Up Close With Rhinos. The Cast Members operating the tours confirmed that valid theme park admission is required for everyone embarking on this tour, and is not included in the price of this experience itself. Depending on the type of
Theme Park Admission you have, you may also need to ensure that you have a park reservation for Disney's Animal Kingdom on the date of your tour. It is one of the most intimate tour experiences found across Walt Disney World Resort property, so I highly recommend jumping on any opportunity you have to book it! (I have personally been trying to snag a spot for years, since it only takes place once each day for a fortunate few explorers out of the thousands of guests who visit the Theme Parks.)
I think this is one of those tour experiences that really offer great value, especially in terms of your opportunity to glimpse backstage and witness the sorts of things most folks could only watch
via Magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom on Disney+, as well as its overall length that allows you to slip it in seamlessly within a day at the Theme Park. Be sure to keep an eye out for some of
the youngest white rhinos to join their crash - which is the appropriate name given for a grouping of these formidably fast creatures!
And as the best Jungle Cruise Skippers out there like to say: "The best way to know if a rhinoceros is charging, is by checking to see if it's still plugged in!"
