Well howdy Alexandra, and welcome to planDisney!
I recently had the chance to stay at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge about a week ago, and almost immediately fell in love with all of the rustic charm and woodsy vibes that surrounded us the entire time. While we enjoyed
the recreational activities available to us during our stay, we also wanted to wander over to see what we could check out over at
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and here's what we experienced:
- I observed that the various equine experiences aren't all necessarily located over at Tri-Circle-D Ranch, each with different start locations and may book out in advance; I highly recommend looking them up through the offerings in the Enchanted Extras collection ahead of your stay.
It's also important to note that there may be certain times of the year when access to these activities may be limited only to guests staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, or those with a dining reservation to the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, but this tends to be typically busier holiday seasons to avoid any congestion when folks want to visit the campsites all decked out or witness a golf cart extravaganza. (I was able to check it out ahead of Halloween this year and "
camp" is definitely a great word to describe the experience!)
Here's hoping you get a chance to have the wildest fun time in the wilderness!
