Hi there, Andrew, and welcome to planDisney!
I am so excited for Walt Disney World Resort visitors to have the option to go to the theme parks as they please (subject to park capacity and a valid ticket) starting on January 9, 2024! Also, if your purchased ticket has the
Park Hopper Option, you can also visit as many theme parks in a day as early into the day as you’d like.
Now, when it comes to the theme park reservation update beginning on January 9, 2024, not all tickets are treated equally. If your ticket purchased through your employer is not date-based, you will most likely need a theme park reservation via the
Disney Park Pass Reservation System. The following will still need to make theme park reservations:
-Student group tickets
-Sport and Convention ticket
-Disney Military Salute Ticket
-Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass
Ticket types that are not date-based in general need theme park reservations. However, Andrew, if you have the following ticket types, you’re good to go:
-Date-based 1-day ticket
-Date-based multi-day ticket
-Vacation package with date-based tickets
If you’re still unsure, feel free to ask a friendly Cast Member calling the
“Existing Tickets” phone number.
In the meantime, because you did not purchase your theme park tickets using the Walt Disney World Resort website or My Disney Experience App, you’ll want to link your tickets to your Disney account. You can link your theme park tickets (and Disney Resorts Collection hotel, dining reservations, and MagicBand+) via the
online linking tool. AN EXTRA GEM: Stay in the know with the most updated Disney Parks news by frequenting the
Disney Parks Blog. It’s a great way to get the latest pixie-dusted news and updates to policies.
Andrew, please
revisit us here at planDisney if you have any other questions about your upcoming visit. Believe it or not, November 2024 will be here before you know it!
Magic always,
LeAndra
