Hi Amanda,
Thanks so much for bringing your question to planDisney today. I'm happy to help!
It's never fun when plans are forced to change but you should still be able to retain the value of an existing
1-day standard ticket for a visit next year. Wholly unused tickets can be applied to the purchase of new tickets as long as the new purchase is of equal or greater value.
Tickets and packages for guests planning to visit in 2024 became available on May 31, but it sounds like you might be having some technical issues making the adjustments. Let's see if we can troubleshoot together. If you've already
linked the ticket to your
My Disney Experience Mobile App account you can try making the modifications by navigating to the feature menu (≡) at the bottom right of the screen and then clicking "Tickets and Passes." Locate the ticket you'd like to modify then select "Change Ticket" to choose a new date and follow the remaining prompts. If you don't see the option to change your ticket you'll need to contact a Ticketing Cast Member at (407) 934-7639 for further assistance.
If you're planning to visit between now and January 8th, 2024
theme park reservations will still be required in addition to valid admission so be sure to make a new theme park reservation once you've completed the ticket change. If your
visit will be on or after January 9th, 2024 theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets.
Now all that's left to decide is when to visit and what to experience.
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is my favorite of the seasonal offerings at EPCOT and will proudly return to kick off the new year. If you're hoping to visit between January 12 and February 19, 2024, you won't want to miss the avant-garde food offerings and colorful art displays around the park.
Amanda, if you're craving recommendations for park itineraries or dining options please don't hesitate to come back and ask us more planning questions. We're always glad to help!
Magic and memories,
Amy
