Do you need a hotel reservation to dining in to Chef mickeys Restaurant.

Hiya, pal! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! It looks like today is a magical day as your vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort begins now! You're going to make the most magical memories, and I'm so excited for you to experience all of the attractions, shows, dining, and more at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

Rut, I've got great news for you - anyone is welcome to dine at Chef Mickey's for breakfast, lunch, or dinner with or without a hotel reservation at Disney's Contemporary Resort! This character dining experience is one of the most well-known for its convenient location close to Magic Kingdom Park and its fun character atmosphere where Chef Mickey and his pals do all the cooking! If you're visiting Chef Mickey's on a day you will be spending time at Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, you can easily take the Disney Monorail to get to your reservation from either park. If you're arriving by personal vehicle, you are welcome to access complimentary guest parking at the Contemporary during your meal; just show the Cast Member at the guard shack your reservation details and they will give you instructions on where you can park your car.

While you're visiting the Contemporary, I always like to explore the grounds and take a fun photo outside near the pool area where they have a Mickey Mouse statue; if you exit just past Steakhouse 71 and take the steps down, look to your left to find this fun photo spot! I also recommend walking outside on Level 4 just past the gift shops to get some fantastic views of Magic Kingdom, Space Mountain, and the Monorail as it comes into the resort! It's just one more way to enjoy the view from this Disney Deluxe Resort!

Rut, before I let you go, if you've already made your dining reservation at Chef Mickey's, be sure to check in on the My Disney Experience mobile app once you arrive. If you haven't yet, there's often availability for popular restaurants on the days leading up to your trip as plans change and other guests adjust their plans; you can also check to see if the Walk-Up List is an option through the app on the day you're looking to dine!

I hope this helps, Rut, and I hope you have a magical meal with Mickey and all his pals! Tell him hi for me and come on back to planDisney any time if we can help again! We'll be waiting with all the mouse-ka-tools to help you make magic!

    Enjoy the Magic,
    Alison
