    I need DAS SERVICE

Greetings, Nilsa, and thanks for stopping by planDisney with this great question. You'll be arriving for your Walt Disney World Resort adventure later this week, so let's look at your options for registering for Disability Access Service (DAS)

DAS is designed for guests who are unable to wait in a conventional queue for an extended time, typically due to a developmental disability such as autism. While it does not allow guests to skip the queue entirely, it does offer a return window so you can wait in an area of your choosing until it's time to board an attraction.

If you feel someone in your party meets the criteria for DAS, you can register with a Cast Member using the live video chat feature. I spoke with a helpful Cast Member who said guests from Puerto Rico will do this once they arrive at the theme park. He suggests heading straight to any Guest Relations location for assistance, but you can also try registering on your own using your My Disney Experience mobile app

Once you're at a theme park, tap the search icon at the bottom of your app screen to find "Disability Access Service." This section has information about the service, and under the "Speak with a Cast Member" section, tap the link to go to the registration page. At the bottom, you'll tap the "Request Live Video Chat" button when you're ready. Remember to log into your account, and the guest requesting DAS needs to be present during the call.

If your phone won't allow you to register, Guest Relations will provide a device and offer assistance starting the registration process. I'm sprinkling lots of pixie dust for a smooth registration and a magical visit!

Before you arrive, my tip is to review the information about Services for Guests Who Are Neurodivergent. You'll find planning tips and resources to make your Disney visit memorable. For example, my family members who use noise-filtering earplugs in the theme parks say they reduce noise stimulation and allow them to focus on the fun. I hope you find some helpful suggestions, too.

Nilsa, planDisney appreciates your trust in us to help plan your vacation. Please stop by anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
