    I need to cancel a ticket

    Welcome to planDisney, Cheryl.  We are glad you brought your question to us today.

    I'm sorry to hear that your plans have changed.  Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets are not cancelable and nonrefundable.  However, the value of the price paid for your ticket does not expire.  You have a few options if you are not able to use your tickets as planned.

    • You may reassign an unused ticket to anyone in your Family & Friends list in your My Disney Experience account, so if someone you know may be able to use the ticket this might be an option for you.
    • You can change the ticket start date to a future date that might work better for you.  Keep in mind that ticket pricing is date-based, so if choosing higher-priced dates you will need to pay the difference when modifying your tickets.  Tickets can be modified up until midnight ET of the day prior to the first usage date.  Be sure to also cancel any Disney Park Pass reservations you have made, and then make new Disney Park Pass reservations for your new dates.
    • The value of a fully unused ticket does not expire.  You will be able to apply the price paid for your ticket to a new ticket.  However, once the expiration date of the ticket has passed, you will no longer be able to view the ticket in your My Disney Experience account, so be sure to hang on to your purchase confirmation email with the ticket confirmation number.
