I need to add a family member to our hotel stay (we have already purchased them a ticket to the parks), can I do this on my own? our family suite has plenty of room, we just didn't know if this person was able to make it or not.

Welcome back to planDisney, Matt! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation will be here soon, so I hope your bags are packed and waiting by the door. Your family will make some magical memories, and it sounds like you want to share the fun with another guest. I think that's a fabulous idea, so let's look at how to add them to your resort reservation.

I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who said you should be able to modify your Disney Resort hotel reservation online by logging into your account and heading to the "My Plans" section under the My Disney Experience tab. If you can make changes, you'll see a "Modify Reservation" button next to your resort stay. If you don't see that option, please call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations for help.

Be sure the guest is connected to your Family & Friends so you can choose them during the modification process. This will ensure they are officially recognized as a resort guest for perks like Early Theme Park Entry and using their MagicBand as a room key. You can also stop by the Front Desk to link their band to a separate credit card if the new guest wants their own charging privileges.

My family has enjoyed the extra space the family suites offer, and that extra bathroom is *chef's kiss*! My tip is to order groceries through a delivery company like Instacart. Bell Services will hold and refrigerate your items until you pick them up. My husband and I did this recently, and it was terrific! We ordered breakfast items to have a relaxing start to our day in our room. I recommend bagels and peanut butter for the perfect morning energy boost!

Matt, I hope your family makes some treasured memories on your trip. planDisney appreciates your trust in us to help you get the most from your visit. Have a practically perfect time!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
