I need to add a dining plan to my existing reservation

Welcome to planDisney, Robert! Thanks for stopping by with your question.

Unsurprisingly, Walt Disney World is one of my favorite places to be. I love the attractions, the ambiance, and that carefree, kid-like feeling I get as soon as I set foot on property! Of course, all that wonder and whimsy sure works up an appetite, so it makes sense that one of my favorite things to do in The Most Magical Place on Earth...is EAT.

Robert, Disney World is absolutely full of fantastic food. From iconic snacks like the DOLE Whip to fancy schmancy full-course dinners like the one at California Grill, there's always something delicious just around the corner!

Now, my family recently returned from our latest magical adventure, and we were so happy we used the Disney Dining Plan for our trip. We love knowing our culinary escapades were paid for in advance, plus we snagged an amazing deal with the Free Dining Plan for Kids in 2026 offer. This one is definitely worth checking out if you're traveling with kids ages 3 to 9!

So here's the good news: you are welcome to add a dining plan to your existing vacation package up to one day before you check in. You should be able to do this in your My Disney Experience app, as long as your booking qualifies as a vacation package (which includes your theme park tickets and your Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay). Just go to the My Plans section of your My Disney Experience app, find your reservation, and modify as needed. If you run into any trouble, you can also call the Tickets & Hotel Reservations line to speak with a Disney Cast Member.

Robert, one of the things I love most about the dining plan is that it works with Disney's Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering feature. This feature is a lifesaver for my family (which happens to include a few hangry kids), so I was so excited to learn that I could use my dining plan credits to order our food in advance.

I hope this information is helpful, and that your upcoming stay is delightful and delicious! If you have any other questions as you finalize your plans, you know where to find me right here at planDisney.

    Cheers,

    Allison
