Do I need to actavate my military ticket

Hi there, Melissa! Welcome to planDisney. We're happy you're here!

It sounds like you're just one sleep away from your magical vacation and I couldn't be more excited for you! As a military spouse, I've used Disney Military Salute Tickets for most of my trips to Walt Disney World Resort and I'd be honored to help you with yours. Let's take a few steps to make sure that your tickets are ready to be used for your first day in the parks:

    • First, determine where you purchased your Disney Military Salute Tickets. Did you purchase them from your local base (or through Morale, Welfare, and Recreation)? If that's the case, you will need to activate your tickets prior to their first use. When you arrive at your first park, take your tickets to the Guest Relations window located outside of that park. The Eligible Service Member (or military spouse) will show their valid military ID, and the Cast Member will activate your tickets. I would recommend arriving at your desired park earlier than the official park opening time and completing this process early so you don't miss a minute of the magic! Additionally, if you're arriving a day or two earlier and have time before your first park day, you can also activate your tickets at the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs
    • If you purchased your tickets through Shades of Green, your tickets will arrive to you already activated and ready to be used.
    • No matter how you purchased your Disney Military Salute Tickets, you must also link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account and make your theme park reservations. This is an important step to reserve the parks you wish to visit on each day of your trip!
    • If you need any assistance with the above steps, my best tip would be to call a friendly Cast Member. They'll be happy to take a look at your reservations and make sure that you're good to go or provide you with the necessary next steps!
Melissa, I'd also suggest taking a little time to download and explore the My Disney Experience app before you arrive. This app feels a little like holding a magic wand in your hand, unlocking everything that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer! You'll be able to check wait times for attractions, access virtual queues, and even mobile order food. It's my favorite way to minimize waits and maximize the fun!

If you have any other questions, please write to us again. I'm wishing upon a star that your upcoming trip is an extra special one!

    See ya real soon,
    Michelle
