Welcome to planDisney, Kelly! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. Traveling solo with your Mouseketeers sounds like such a special adventure, and I totally understand wanting to make sure everyone feels comfortable and included!
Unfortunately, Cast Members aren't able to supervise children while other members of your group ride an attraction. Your 10-year-old is welcome to wait in line with you, but if she decides not to ride, a Cast Member will guide her to the exit before boarding. However, because
Disney requires children under 14 to be supervised by someone 14 or older, she wouldn't be able to wait alone outside the ride.
Since it sounds like she's a little unsure about the more thrilling rides, here are some ways to help her feel more prepared and confident! Talk her through the attractions ahead of time so she knows what to expect. Watching ride-through videos online together may help! You can also let her choose other experiences nearby while you plan your rides, whether it's a show, snack, or a fun interactive queue she'll enjoy so she has something fun to look forward to. Finally, try easing her into thrill rides with something a bit more gentle, like
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or
Slinky Dog Dash, before deciding on bigger attractions. Since you'll need to stay together, you might consider picking rides that everyone is excited about or taking breaks to enjoy other magical experiences together!
I hope this answers your question, Kelly, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
