Welcome to planDisney, Kelly!
As a Disney dad to a thrill-seeking Mouseketeer, I completely understand the challenge of deciding when a child is ready to take on certain attractions.
TRON Lightcycle / Run immerses Guests into the world of TRON: Legacy, making you feel like you’ve stepped right into the movie. As you race through a dazzling, futuristic digital world, the attraction simulates the thrilling sensation of riding a lightcycle, the motorcycle-like vehicle from the TRON universe. With stunning visuals, vibrant neon lights (which look especially spectacular at night), and an electrifying futuristic soundtrack, the experience is sure to get your adrenaline pumping.
The ride begins with an intense launch, followed by high-speed twists, turns, and sudden drops. You’ll board the lightcycle by straddling it like a motorcycle, adding to the immersive thrill of the experience.
This high-speed roller coaster has a minimum height requirement of 48 inches (122 cm). While many 9-year-olds will meet the height requirement, it's important to use your discretion in deciding whether your child is ready for this ride. If your child loves high-speed thrill rides, TRON Lightcycle / Run may be the perfect adventure, but consider how they handle intense rides before entering the Grid.
I should point out that TRON Lightcycle / Run currently doesn’t have a traditional standby line. Assuming this remains the case when you visit in September, if you plan to ride, you’ll need to join a
Virtual Queue or purchase a
Lightning Lane Single Pass.
I hope that's helpful, Kelly. Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
