Hello, I have a MVMCP Resturant reservation for after 8pm. I did not purchase a MVMCP park pass, but I did purchase a theme park pass. Do I need to purchase a MVMCP park pass as well for access to the resturant? TIA

    Hi Shana!

Welcome to planDisney. We're always glad to have guests find their way to our magical corner of the internet. I'd be happy to help!

I'm glad to hear that you've already purchased theme park tickets and made the necessary park reservations for your trip. You are sure to have a merry and magical time! If you'll be visiting Magic Kingdom Park on a day that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is scheduled, you will need to have a party ticket in order to keep your current dinner plans.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event and guests without party tickets will be directed to exit the park beginning at 6 p.m. Although you may have been able to secure a dinner reservation at Be Our Guest or Cinderella's Royal Table on the evening of your visit, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Dining reservations are only available for guests with party tickets since the time slots are after the party begins.

You have two options if you have your heart set on an 8 p.m. dinner. First, you can purchase party tickets in addition to the daytime theme park tickets you already have. I'm not certain what date your visit is planned but I'd recommend purchasing party tickets as soon as possible if you plan to attend.

Your other option would be to modify your dinner reservation to an earlier time so you can dine within normal park operating hours. This would be my plan instead of spending precious party time at a table-service meal. I haven't had the chance to experience Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party yet, but it's something I hope to attend one day and I want to enjoy as much of the event entertainment and offerings as possible when that time comes.

You'll likely need to book a new reservation online or through your My Disney Experience App since the reservation you currently hold is tied to the party and most likely won't be able to be moved to a pre-party time. Don't be discouraged if you can't find earlier availability on your first attempt. I've had luck finding same-day dining availability on past trips, so just keep checking as your visit nears.

Shana, I hope this clears up any confusion. If we can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to come back and be our guest again.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
