Hi there, Dewi! Welcome to planDisney!
As a fellow halal eater, one of my favorite things about Disney Cruise Line is how accommodating they are to guests’ personal needs. The entire cruise experience feels very personalized and attentive, right down to the meals on board. That’s why I’m excited to tell you that, yes, halal meals are available on board every Disney cruise ship! However, the meals are not halal to begin with, and halal dining must be requested in advance, which I would be happy to explain how to do!
Dinner on a Disney cruise is handled through a unique Disney Cruise Line system called
Rotational Dining, where you are assigned a personalized Dining Team that rotates with you each evening to the Main Dining restaurants. When you request halal dining during your cruise, you are informing Disney Cruise Line that all of your meals need to be halal certified, and your personal Dining Team will carry out this request. In my experience, every Dining Team I’ve ever had on a Disney cruise has been very well versed in halal practices, and meal times have been seamless (and magical!) as a result!
To
request halal meals on board your cruise, open your reservation on either the Disney Cruise Line website or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Scroll down to “Special Requests” and then click “Dietary Preferences”. Here, you may indicate a halal dietary request for your entire stateroom. Please note that this should be noted at least 35 days before your sailing. I highly suggest
calling Disney Cruise Line afterwards to ensure that the dietary preference has been noted, and a Cast Member will also be happy to note any other dietary notations you might have.
Please note that halal options are always subject to availability, but I’m happy to share that once noted on your reservation before your cruise, halal dining should be available for you in every Main Dining restaurant. If you would like to request halal dining in the buffet or the
adult dining restaurants, you should let your Dining Team know once on board. In my experience, I’ve also found halal meal options on the
Room Service menu, which has always been a fun surprise! You may call Room Service once on board to find out about any halal Room Service options.
Dewi, I hope I was able to offer guidance. I wish you magical and delicious moments ahead! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
You’ve Got a Friend in Me,
