Yes, once you scan into your first Lightning Lane of the day, you can book another pass while you wait in line. The great thing is that you can now pick any tier ride that you would like. I would also monitor the
My Disney Experience app for any rides that do not show a time slot you prefer. Guests frequently cancel their reservations, and you can then pick up their time slot.
If you will be staying at a Walt Disney World Collection Hotel, you will be able to enjoy the added benefit of water park admission on check-in day during the summer. Since you can visit the water park before your resort room is ready, consider packing a small day bag with your water park gear. The water parks have changing areas with showers, so you can change there. Along with your swimwear, I would be sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, flip-flops/water shoes, and a change of clothes.
