Hello there, Laura-Ashley!
We're so glad you stopped by planDisney today. Your vacation countdown is in the single digits (hooray!), so let's make sure you're ready to get all those last-minute details finalized.
Your Lightning Lane purchase window should be opening very soon (
7 days before your check-in date if you're staying at an eligible resort, or 3 days before your ticket start date if you're staying off-property), so it's smart to think through your daily plan of action. You'll be glad to know that you can absolutely purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass and up to 2 Single Pass selections for each day of admission. Your initial 3 Multi Pass selections must be at one park, but you can mix and match Single Pass options across multiple parks with your Park Hopper Option tickets. Even better, you can secure all your choices in a single transaction when your purchase window opens.
When you're ready to make your selections, head to the My Disney Experience app and click the "Purchase" button on the main page. Next, choose your desired date of visit on the calendar (you'll need to complete each day one at a time), then expand the options for
Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Place a check in the box for Multi Pass at Hollywood Studios and in the Single Pass box for Avatar Flight of Passage. You'll also have the option to add a second Single Pass experience at any of the parks, if you choose. Keep in mind that these selections will apply to anyone you include in your planning party on the next screen. If you're traveling with little ones who don't meet the height requirements for Flight of Passage, it would be best to split your Multi Pass and Single Pass purchase into separate transactions.
After selecting all your preferences, click "Continue" to include the members of your travel party (be sure everyone is linked via the
Family & Friends list on your My Disney Experience account before starting this process). Once your group is added to the "Who's Included" list, you'll proceed to select attraction return times and finalize your transaction.
On the day of your visit, you can begin selecting new attraction return times (subject to availability) as soon as you redeem one of your initial selections. This can be for remaining experiences at Hollywood Studios (with no additional tier restrictions in place) or at Animal Kingdom depending on your wish list. My family visited last month and loved the newly reimagined
Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Hollywood Studios, which would be a great option to snag if you weren't able to do so when picking your initial 3 attractions. We also waited a decent amount of time in the standby queue for
Kilimanjaro Safaris during our visit, so that would likely be another time-saving selection for your afternoon at Animal Kingdom. Keep an eye on wait times as you go about your day, and don't forget to schedule new return times as you redeem experiences.
Laura-Ashley, I hope this clears up any confusion. If we can answer any additional questions, please come back and let us know.
Magic and memories!
Amy
