Can the mugs from the resort be used for ice water in the parks?

    Hello there, Joyce!

Welcome to planDisney. We're delighted you've dropped by with a fantastic Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! I'm so excited to hear that you'll be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth so soon. As you count down the final hours until your enchanting escape, I'd be happy to help you understand how to stay hydrated during your stay!

Joyce, there's nothing quite like staying at a Disney Resort hotel and falling into a cozy "Disney bed" at the end of a long day in the theme parks. Disney Resort hotel Guests can purchase Resort refillable mugs to be used for unlimited refills on soft drinks, coffee, and tea for the duration of their stay. (As someone who loves sipping soft drinks by the pool of my Disney Resort hotel, I have an embarrassing number of these mugs in my pantry...) You'll be happy to know that Guests are welcome to bring their mugs into the theme parks to refill with water throughout the day! I usually fill up my mug with ice and a soft drink before leaving my Resort hotel, and when that first beverage runs out, I'll stop by the nearest bottle refill station to top off. (Hint: You can easily find bottle refill stations by searching in the My Disney Experience mobile app!)

To maximize the value of your Resort refillable mug, I recommend purchasing it at the time you check in at your Disney Resort hotel, Joyce. Your mug will be activated for 14 days once purchased, and if you'll be switching resorts in a "split stay," you can rest assured that your mug's activation will remain valid throughout both stays! Some resorts offer Coca-Cola Freestyle machines which allow Guests to customize their drink options with exciting flavors and additional options, so be on the lookout for these.

Joyce, I hope you've found this information helpful for your hydration status while in the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any additional questions before or during your stay, you can always find us here at planDisney. We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
