I want to add a debit card

Hey there, Joshua! Welcome to planDisney. You have a Walt Disney World Resort visit coming up this week, so I hope you're ready for some magic! No matter how much fun we have on Disney trips, we must pay the piper. Let's look at how to add a payment method to your account to make paying a breeze.

I like to add payments on my mobile app because I can do so on the go or even in the theme parks. To add a valid credit or debit card, tap the three lines in the bottom right of your screen. Select "Profile" under the Account section and scroll to "Payment Method." Once you tap, you might be asked to log in again, and then you'll see a list of cards you currently have linked to your account. You should see a blue plus sign near the bottom next to "Add a Payment Method."

Remember that a debit card must be affiliated with a credit card company to be used as a payment method, but most of my debit cards are. And just so you know, Disney Gift Cards cannot be linked to your account either. If you have any questions before you arrive, please don't hesitate to call Guest Services for help.

If you're staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can use your MagicBand to charge food and merchandise purchases to your resort during your stay. You can let the Front Desk know which card you'd like linked to your room folio, and you can view charges in your app. You'll set up a PIN for security, and I love not having to rummage through my backpack to find my wallet. Anything to have more time to experience that Disney fun!

Joshua, I hope you make some "priceless" memories on your visit. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
