Welcome to planDisney and thanks for submitting a question to us. The
Magic Key Pass sales window just opened today and I've been hearing happy reports that Guests have been able to purchase their brand new Magic Keys! I can totally understand that feeling because I've been a part of the program since the beginning and absolutely love having a Magic Key.
First of all, make sure that you're logged in to your MyDisney account just in case. Your account must have a California address attached to it as well as a credit card with a California billing address already linked. This is because the monthly payment option is only available to California Residents.
Once you make it through the online queue, you'll be redirected to the sales page. On the first page, you'll select the Magic Key Type from available Passes. On the next screen, (1) you will select the number of Passes you would like. Next, (2) you will Select a Payment Type. Here is where you should see the option to select either "Pay in Full" or "Monthly Payment Option for California Residents." There is a checkbox to verify that you are a California Resident and over 18 years of age. Click Add to Cart at the bottom. You'll see the Magic Key in Your Cart and you'll be taken to the Payment Screen after hitting Continue.
And that's all there is to it! You'll have one year in which to activate your brand new Magic Key Pass and it'll be good for a year after that. If you aren't seeing the Monthly Payment option and your credit card and address information are correct, I would recommend calling a Cast Member at the
App & Online Support number.
