Hi Moms! I love Star Wars, but HATE drops. I’m fine on Pirates&Frozen. Flight of Passage is amazing. Splash Mountain & Tower of Terror are a no go. How likely am I to enjoy Rise of the Resistance? The drop at the end worries me.

Bright suns, Paula! As you may have heard, the Resistance has set up a secret base camp in the forest outside of Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu, and Rey and BB-8 are anxiously looking for recruits. It sounds like you are perfect for this mission!

As I am prone to motion sickness, I, too, was nervous about the rumors of a sudden Tower of Terror-esque freefall in Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. I can assure you, however, that the escape pod sequence near the end of the ride undergoes a brief drop of about 20 feet, and only lasts for a second, making it feel significantly less scary than The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. In my opinion, getting shot at by the legions of Stormtroopers was much more frightening! Try not to worry about it, as I know you'll be amazed by the trackless ride system, which allows the ride vehicles to glide along an invisible path, making it much more unpredictable and exciting!

After successfully completing your mission, Paula, reward yourself with a treat. I like the Blue Milk Cooler from the Milk Stand and the Outpost Popcorn Mix from Kat Saka's Kettle.

May the Force be with you!
