Ahoy, Stacey! Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question. I’m happy to help!
One cruise is already exciting, but back-to-back sailings? That sounds like a dream vacation! While I’m not as familiar with Royal Caribbean’s disembarkation process, most cruise lines aim to have guests off the ship by 8:00 AM. It’s a great idea to grab some bottled water (if allowed) before leaving since you’ll have a bit of time before boarding the
Disney Wish.
Disney Cruise Line begins boarding around 10:30 AM for Concierge Guests, with other
Castaway Club levels following in waves. Silver members and first-time cruisers may have boarding times as late as 1:30 PM. Since Disney Cruise Line doesn’t offer luggage storage before embarkation, you’ll need to keep your bags with you until your stateroom is ready, usually around 1:30 PM.
If you’re looking for a way to pass the time before boarding, you might consider taking a rideshare service to Jetty Park, which is just a short drive from the port. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy the beach, or even do a little fishing. You can rent chairs and umbrellas, and there are full-service bathrooms if you want to freshen up before heading back to the terminal. If you’re more in the mood for shopping, Cocoa Beach is another fun option. Most rideshare services will drop off at Ron Jon Surf Shop, about 15 minutes away, where you can browse the massive store, pick up some souvenirs, or explore the surrounding area.
Once you’re back at the terminal, I’d recommend packing a small day bag with swimsuits and sunscreen so you can head straight to the pools once you board the Wish. It’s a great way to start your Disney Cruise, and even adults love taking a ride on the
AquaMouse. It’s definitely a must-do!
To get the best Port Arrival Time for your Castaway Club status, be sure to complete your online check-in as soon as it opens. This is at 12:01 AM EST 30 days before sailing for first-time cruisers, with earlier access for Castaway Club members. You’ll need to upload a photo of each guest,
citizenship documents, and payment information. I usually snap pictures of everything ahead of time so it’s quick and easy to upload when the check-in window opens.
I hope this helps make your transition between ships as smooth as possible! Wishing you an amazing adventure at sea—see ya real soon!
