When we’re in MK they have extended evening hours and we’re eligible. What attractions are normally available ? Beginning at what time as it says 10p-MN but the fireworks should be over by 9:30p? Ty

Hey there, Teresa, and welcome back to planDisney!

One of the best perks of staying at a Disney World Deluxe Resort hotel is getting late-night access at theme parks like Magic Kingdom and EPCOT on select nights. Depending on the number of Guests who take advantage of this perk on any given night, it can feel like you have the park all to yourself.

You can check out the complete list of available Extended Evening Hours (EEH) attractions on the official Disney World website. As you can see, one of the most popular rides, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, is normally not in operation during the extra hours. You’ll want to put this on your to-do list before the event begins. However, the majority of the attractions are ready for your enjoyment! The availability of all rides is subject to change due to weather conditions and other factors.

The rides at Magic Kingdom will stay open for all Guests until the park closes. Deluxe hotel Guests, with a valid form of admission, may be in the park earlier and stay after normal hours. Because the closing time for daytime Guests and starting time for EEH Guests are the same for both groups, there will still be a mix of Guests as the transition happens. But at the stroke of (let’s say) 10 p.m., only Guests who are eligible for EEH will be allowed to enter attraction queues.

AN EXTRA GEM: If you get to Magic Kingdom earlier in the night and time it right, you should ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover during Happily Ever After. This will give you an unforgettable, elevated point-of-view during the fireworks show. Talk about a fun way to kick off your magical evening!

I hope that you have the most amazing time next month, Teresa! Please don’t hesitate to revisit us here at planDisney if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Magic always,
