Hi there, Dana, and welcome to planDisney!
From saving the galaxy on
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind to being entertained at
Disney Springs to unwinding at
Typhoon Lagoon and
Blizzard Beach, you have so much to look forward to at Disney World. Your vacation is just around the river bend, so let’s get right into what to expect when you visit The Most Magical Place on Earth.
I love that Disney World accepts a variety of ways to pay while at the parks and around property. You can use credit and debit cards,
MagicBands+ (linked to your Disney Resort hotel account), Apple Pay and Google Wallet, Disney Gift Cards (my favorite!), and even cash (some smaller locations may not accept it though).
Affirm is mostly for online, financed transactions; however, if your physical card is a Visa, you should be able to use it as you would a credit or debit card at Disney World. If you have a virtual card or are willing to link your physical one to your device, try adding your Affirm card to your digital wallet. This will enable you to use your phone to pay for purchases while you’re on vacation.
AN EXTRA GEM: One way to save when visiting Disney World—or when shopping online for Disney products and experiences—is to check out a third-party retail store and buy Disney Gift Cards at a discounted price. My family likes to save, add, and combine them on the
Disney Gift Card website. It also helps me to stay on budget while exploring the parks. Disney Gift Card information can now be saved in the
My Disney Experience app, too, so you can use them when you’re doing mobile orders for dining and shopping.
Dana, please don’t be a stranger if you have any other questions about your upcoming visit. Any panelist
here at planDisney will be more than happy to lend a Mickey hand!
Magic always,
LeAndra
