Hi Samantha,
I recently went on a hunt with my best friend at Disney World. Our sole purpose was to get a picture of Mary Poppins for her daughter. We were unfortunately unsuccessful because Mary Poppins no longer has a designated spot at Disney World for photo opportunities. Throughout our quest, we were able to get some great photos with other Disney characters that I cherish forever. So make sure to come up with a few other must-meet characters in case Mary Poppins does not pop up during your visit.
Character meet and greets do change from time to time and there are also pop-up character locations during different times of the year or at specialty events. The best way to see who you can meet during your trip is to utilize the
My Disney Experience app. In the app, you can easily see who is out and about on each day of your trip by clicking on the map icon (second one from the left on the very bottom of the app). At the top, you will choose to filter for "Characters" and it will be displayed on either a map for easy navigation or as a list for a quick snapshot of who is available.
My favorite way to ensure that I get to meet a few of my favorite characters is to book a
Character Dining Experience. You can find experiences focused on meeting princesses, Disney characters like Mickey, and visiting Winnie the Pooh and his friends. If you are set on a Mary Poppins-inspired experience, head over to
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort which has recently undergone a refurbishment with Mary Poppins-inspired rooms and a restaurant,
Citricos. Happy Planning,
Jenna
