Where can I meet Hathaway Browne? I am going to Disney in April and I really want to meet the amazing Hathaway Browne, famous aviator and member of the adventurers club, if I can’t meet him what can I do that’s related to him?

    Kungaloosh, Michael! Welcome to planDisney!

I am absolutely thrilled to answer your question about famed aviator, Adventurers Club member, and Balderdash Cup contender Hathaway Browne. While I never had an opportunity to visit the Adventurers Club, I’ve spent a great deal of time reading up on the exploits of its members, as well as the members of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers (S.E.A.)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately, Hathaway Browne no longer makes regular appearances at Walt Disney World Resort. I’ve heard unconfirmed field reports that he and other members of the Adventurers Club have made sporadic appearances at special ticketed events—such as a runDisney race in 2022—but my research hasn’t turned up any published schedule or travel itinerary for Mr. Browne.

That doesn’t mean that Hathaway Browne doesn’t have a presence at Walt Disney World, though! If you know where to look, you can find signs of him across the resort.

For instance, if you take a journey with the Jungle Navigation Company on the Jungle Cruise, you’ll spot a crashed airplane near the hippo pool with the words “The Amazing Hathaway Browne” emblazoned on the side. Hopefully this isn’t the reason he’s no longer seen around the parks! Speaking of the Jungle Cruise and its cast of castaways, an eagle-eyed patron of Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at the Polynesian Village Resort may spot a postcard from Hathaway Browne to Sam himself framed on the wall. And speaking of well-themed watering holes, I’ve heard from patrons of Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar that there are pictures of Hathaway from the opening of Jock’s establishment, but I haven’t been able to confirm that myself.

What I can tell you with absolute certainty, is that there is a cake at the Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen that bears the name of the famous Adventurers Club saying—Kungaloosh!—and it is delicious. As is the Kungaloosh Spiced Excursion Ale.

Michael, I hope this information was helpful and that you have an amazing time on your upcoming Walt Disney World adventure. If you have any more questions, feel free to send a correspondence my way, or to any other planDisney panelist.

    Kungaloosh!
