Ahoy, Anna!
Welcome to planDisney! Can you believe your
Mediterranean cruise is almost here? I'm so excited that you'll not only get to experience these beautiful ports of call, but also enjoy all that the incredible
Disney Dream has to offer.
Anna, as you prepare to set sail, I'd recommend reviewing Disney's
suggested packing list. It's a great reference, especially for first-time cruisers. During the day, you'll want to dress comfortably for your port adventures, to explore the pool deck, or enjoy the many activities on board.
Most dinners are cruise-casual, but you can expect one formal and one semi-formal night during your sailing. You'll find that on these "dressier" evenings, some Guests choose to remain cruise-casual, which is totally fine - it's all about your comfort level! If you have a reservation at one of the
adult-exclusive restaurants, these locations require a minimum of "dress-casual with a polished look" and encourage formal or semi-formal attire for dinner. Lastly, you can also expect a
Pirate Night during your cruise. This is one of the most anticipated evenings for our family with a special menu in the dining room, deck parties, unique character greetings, and plenty of swashbuckling fun! While you'll see some Guests pack their own pirate attire, Disney typically provides each Guest with a bandana to get in the spirit, too!
Before setting sail, I'd also suggest downloading the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, as this will be your go-to resource for dining details, activities, and other important information during your sailing. The app is
free to download, and you can access it for free via the DCL-GUEST wireless network throughout your cruise. Once you connect to the ship's WiFi, you can view the full schedule for your cruise - including menus for
all dining locations and nightly entertainment. One thing you can count on is amazing Broadway-style shows on the Dream in the
Walt Disney Theater. Regardless of how many times I've seen the shows, they still bring tears to my eyes - especially
Disney's Believe!
Disney Cruise Line features
rotational dining, which means you'll rotate between the three restaurants each night of your vacation while your serving team travels with you. My personal favorite on the Dream is
Animator's Palate. I love how the restaurant quite literally comes to life to celebrate the magic of Disney animation!
I hope this information has been helpful, Anna, and I wish you the most magical sailing! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
Bon Voyage!
