Hi Heidi! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! I'm excited to hear you'll be staying at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge during your upcoming trip! This has been a family favorite resort of ours for quite some time and is our home away from home. There is a warm and inviting nature to this resort that is due to its incredible theming. You are set for an unforgettable stay!
In regards to your question, there is a likely reason for this description on your reservation details. The room-only designation likely means that you booked your resort reservation separately from your ticket purchase. I've done this on a few occasions when I was having a resort-only stay or had previously purchased my tickets on their own. For the number 5000, my fellow planDisney panelist friend, Lauren, detailed what this could mean in a
previous answer. She stated that it likely indicates an internal booking code or room type for Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. However, this resort does have rooms that are in the 5000 range, so keep that in mind. I still think it's likely that it means more to the Cast Member assigning rooms than it does to the Guest.
With your vacation quickly approaching, don't forget to complete the Online Check-In for your resort using your
My Disney Experience App or by logging into your account on the website. The process takes a matter of moments and will save you time when you arrive for your trip. You'll be notified by your preferred method of contact when your resort room is ready on your arrival day and you can head straight there without having to stop at the front desk.
Heidi, I hope this information helps you plan for your stay!
