What does it mean if your rides boarding has paused ?

    Hiya Arielle!

Welcome to planDisney! Don't fret Arielle! This happens all the time and it's frustrating but normal.

The Virtual Queue system assigns Guests a boarding group when they join at 7 am or 1 pm. Guests can track when it is time to enter the physical queue of that attraction by watching the numbers get announced on the My Disney Experience App. Sometimes, when the attraction breaks down or has to pause due to an emergency, the boarding groups will "pause" boarding groups while that issue is resolved. This pause could be short or it could last all day. If you are concerned while in the Parks I would speak to a Cast Member working at that attraction if they have any indication when it might be restored.

It's a sad fact to note that gaining a spot in the Virtual Queue does not guarantee a chance to ride the attraction. There is a chance that if the attraction does not come back up online you may have to plan to enjoy something else. If the attraction goes down right before your group is to "board" I would not stray too far and keep an eye on the app as it could be your turn very suddenly and you want to be ahead of the crowd of people also waiting to board. Maybe this is a good time to enjoy a delicious snack. Did you say something about a Dole Whip Float? (I thought I heard something...)

I hope this helps and that you find yourself enjoying an attraction very soon!

    Happy Planning!
