I may need to change my vacation package dates. I am less than 30 days so I know there will be fees but I was wondering how much time I have up until the day I go. Like 7 days, 3 days…etc?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Paige! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. Thank you so much for stopping by with your question!

After speaking with a Cast Member for clarification, I have learned that all Guests are welcome to change their Vacation Package dates up until the day prior to their original check-in date. As you already know, all Guests will need to pay a small fee for any changes made between one and 30 days before this date. If you aren't able to change your dates by yourself through the Walt Disney World Resort website, I suggest speaking to a friendly Cast Member over at the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations hotline.

If I were you, I'd change my dates as soon as possible. This is because your new dates will depend on current availability, so Disney Resorts Collection hotels might fill up as your check-in date draws nearer. Don't forget to secure your Theme Park Reservations for the new dates either! Those are super important, since you won't be able to enter the parks without them.

Finally, if you'd made any dining reservations for your original dates, you'll need to cancel those by yourself. Don't forget to do this! If you forget and then fail to show up, your credit card will be charged the no-show fees for your entire planning party. Once you've canceled those original reservations, you'll be able to make new ones through the My Disney Experience mobile app.

I hope this helps, Paige! If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach back out to us. We're always available and more than happy to help! Have a magical day!

    Warm hugs,
