Gawrsh, Mary-Ellen, I'm so glad you stopped by planDisey!
It sounds like your uncle and I share a love of Mickey's best pal, Goofy! I'm glad to report that Goofy has sailed away with me on every Disney Cruise Line vacation I've taken, so you can rest assured he will be goofing around during your cruise.
I especially love to visit with Goofy when he is in his sailor attire or his beach-bum swim trunks! Check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app when you board the ship to find where and when you can have your uncle's photo taken with him. Believe it or not, Goofy is pretty shy when it comes to singing at dinner, but I'm sure he will give your uncle a great birthday high-five or hug when you
see him in the lobby atrium or perhaps at
Disney Castaway Cay.
Now, let's talk staterooms. The
capacity of each stateroom is determined by the category of stateroom you select. Some staterooms sleep three Guests, while others accommodate up to five Guests. There are
Concierge Suites that accommodate up to eight Guests on some ships. If you are traveling with a large group, consider booking
Connecting Staterooms. This will allow you to have two bathrooms and extra space. Depending on the category you select, two connecting staterooms might be as economical as one larger stateroom.
Mary-Ellen, I'm so glad you are celebrating your uncle's special day with Disney Cruise Line! Make sure to stop by the
Guest Services desk to pick up a "Happy Birthday" for him and "I'm Celebrating!" buttons for the rest of your crew. And make sure to let your Stateroom Host and your
Rotational Dining team know you are celebrating a special occasion. The Crew Members love to help make every vacation special, particularly celebratory moments.
Please let us know if you have other questions as you plan for this joyous cruise!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
