Welcome, Carla! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
As an avid vacation planner, I appreciate wanting to make sure you make the most of your Disney day. There’s so much to see and do at
Animal Kingdom—and all the Walt Disney World theme parks—so it helps to know all your options and have a good itinerary.
My first suggestion is to take advantage of
Early Entry if you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Guests at participating hotels can enter the theme parks 30 minutes before official park opening to enjoy select attractions (available attractions subject to change). The current offerings for Early Entry at Animal Kingdom include:
- Avatar Flight of Passage
- DINOSAUR
- Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
- It’s Tough to be a Bug! (Closes March 17, 2025)
- Na’vi River Journey
I’d recommend prioritizing Flight of Passage during Early Entry. You’ll see a lot of guests headed for that ride, but the queue is still likely to be shorter during Early Entry than later in the day. After enjoying Flight of Passage you can go to Na’vi River Journey, which is located right next door.
For the rest of your day, you might consider purchasing
Lightning Lane Multi Pass to maximize your time at Animal Kingdom. Lighting Lane Multi Pass allows you to skip the standby line and join a shorter queue for select attractions. You can reserve passes for up to 3 attractions at once, and then book additional passes as you enjoy rides and shows throughout the day.
Also, be sure to download the My Disney Experience mobile app and check out
Disney Genie for help planning your day. This complimentary service allows you to pick the attractions you’d like to ride and what sort of things you’re generally interested in, and then Disney Genie will make itinerary recommendations. You can do this ahead of your visit to help decide which attractions you should purchase Lighting Lane passes for and what time to make dining reservations.
Carla, I hope this info helps you plan the most magical day at Animal Kingdom. If you have any other questions, or if you need recommendations or advice, pop back to planDisney and ask away!
Magical travels!
Matt
