Is March 2026 a good time crowd and weather wise?

    Hi Tracey,

Welcome to planDisney! We're so happy you stopped by to bring us your question.

Thinking ahead to a 2026 Walt Disney World vacation? I love your style! March can be a practically perfect time to visit, but let’s talk crowds, weather, and a little extra magic so you know what to expect.

Crowd-wise, March can be a bit of a mixed bag. Early in the month, you’ll typically find moderate crowds, but as Spring Break season kicks in—especially mid-to-late March—things can get busier than Main Street during the fireworks! If you’re looking for lighter crowds, I recommend aiming for the first couple of weeks of the month before schools start letting out. You can also check out crowd calendars online. They’re not a perfect science, but these sites track historic crowds, and they can be pretty spot-on with their predictions. A quick Google search will pull up a few to check out.

As for weather, March is a chef’s kiss kind of month in Florida! You can expect mild temperatures, usually ranging from the mid-50s in the morning to the upper 70s or low 80s in the afternoon. It can get warm enough to enjoy the pools but not quite the summertime melt-into-a-puddle heat. Even Olaf would agree—March is a much better time for warm hugs than peak summer, when he might need his own personal flurry! Just keep in mind that Florida weather likes to keep things interesting, so I always recommend packing layers.

Spring at Disney also brings about some extra magic since it typically marks the return of the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, one of my absolute favorites! This year, the festival kicks off on March 5, 2025, so it’s likely that the 2026 festival will follow a similar timeline. Experience EPCOT in full bloom, with stunning Disney character topiaries, beautifully designed gardens, and outdoor kitchens serving fresh and seasonal bites. Plus, the Garden Rocks Concert Series is a blast!

All in all, March can be a fantastic time to visit if you plan strategically! Let us know if you need help fine-tuning your trip. We're always happy to help add a little extra magic.

Wishing you a blooming wonderful trip filled with sunshine, fun, and maybe even a warm hug from Olaf! ~Emille
