Hi Irby,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you stopped by with your question about planning your itinerary at Walt Disney World.
I have great memories of studying paper maps of Walt Disney World with our children when they were little. It's a great way to orient yourself and make some decisions about what your top "must-do" rides and attractions are in each park.
There are a couple of ways to access the maps before you leave home. You will find downloadable, printable guide maps of each park on the Walt Disney World website:
Magic Kingdom,
Epcot,
Hollywood Studios, and
Animal Kingdom.
You also can use the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to access maps and identify directions between resorts, attractions, restaurants and more. To get to the maps, tap the Locations icon at the bottom of the screen. You can use the Get Directions function to find routes and approximate travel times to walk, drive or use Disney transportation between locations throughout the property.
And, once you arrive at Walt Disney World, you can pick up paper maps from displays just inside the entrance at every theme park and at Guest Relations locations. Even if you feel like an expert on using the My Disney Experience App or have memorized the park layouts, it's fun to have the paper maps in hand as a back-up or a souvenir.
Happy planning, Irby. Thanks for your question, and please stop back any time if we can offer other assistance, suggestions or recommendations.
Enjoy,
Wilma
