Hi Johnny,
Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you stopped by with this great question, which I'll admit, I've also been wondering about. Though I've seen videos of
Wondrous Journeys online, it's not the same experience as watching in person front and center at Sleeping Beauty Castle. This beautiful 13-minute fireworks spectacular debuted as part of the
Disney100 Celebration but came to an end on August 31 as
Halloween Time festivities began at
Disneyland Resort. Whether it's the official and permanent end of the show has not been revealed.
Happily Ever After at
Walt Disney World Resort is my all-time favorite nighttime spectacular, and like you, I was disappointed to see it come to an end when the 50th Anniversary Celebrations began at
Magic Kingdom Park. I put a dream into motion and made a wish upon a star that I'd be able to sing along again one day. Thankfully, my wish came true in January as
Disney Parks Blog announced the return of this fan-favorite fireworks show. Now I don't have Madame Leota's crystal ball and unfortunately, I can't seem to receive any messages from somewhere beyond about the hopeful return of Wondrous Journeys one day. Change is inevitable as the lyrics go, "It's the magic that we call life." However, I've always been impressed by the new entertainment offerings each time they debut at Disney Parks and I'm hopeful that we'll see something just as amazing and inspiring as Wondrous Journeys once the seasonal celebrations end at
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park.
In the meantime, stay tuned to
Disney Parks Blog for the latest announcements, and feel free to stop back and see us again with additional planning questions. I'm wishing you a magical and wondrous vacation next April.
Magic and memories,
Amy
