Making an Askershus reservation for breakfast. 3 adults 3 kids. 7,5,1. Should I make it for 6 or 5 people? Thanks.

Royal greetings, Sir Adam! It's wonderful to see you back at planDisney; your visit is getting closer every day. Booking meals is one of my favorite parts of planning, so let's talk about dining for your fabulous family at Walt Disney World Resort.

Please include your one-year-old in all your dining reservations to help restaurants determine how much space to allow for your party. The most magical news is that you typically won't be charged for guests under three, but they are welcome to share a meal with an adult. Some buffet experiences allow toddlers to have their own plates at no charge. My son loved eating at Crystal Palace when he was young. I have a photo of him with a plate piled so high with bacon that we could barely see him! And guess what? He's plant-based now!

When booking the reservation for Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, you'll choose the total number of guests, including infants. When it's time to dine, you'll check in on your My Disney Experience mobile app. During this process, you'll be asked more specific questions about your party so you can request a high chair or booster seat. If you forget to include your little one, you can often add a guest during online check-in or at the host stand.

My tip is to be sure your youngest Mousketeer is listed in your Family & Friends List so you won't be charged at restaurants that require pre-payment, such as Cinderella's Royal Table. Also, be sure their age and birthday are correct in your account, making it easy to include them in all dining reservations. Mickey loves to know who all his guests are!

Your kiddos will have a blast at Akershus; meeting characters is always a highlight. My son would brainstorm a few questions to ask the characters. He once asked Snow White if she preferred red or green apples, and she raised her eyebrows comically and said she preferred gooseberries. I bet your little princes and princesses will make magical memories with royalty soon!

Adam, I'm sprinkling pixie dust and gooseberries so your visit is fit for a king. Please stop by planDisney anytime. We'll greet you with great fanfare!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
