Hey there, Bryan, thanks for reaching out to planDisney!
With your visit just days away, I know we’re on the clock, so let’s get down to business! I’m happy to share some information regarding
Magic Key pass reservations.
While in a penalty state for your Magic Key pass, you cannot make or modify existing reservations. If only two of your party show up, the three that do not will be considered no-show and it will count towards the next three no-show window. Great news, I spoke with a friendly cast member and she confirmed that while you can’t make changes, yes, you can still cancel without penalty before the deadline. Therefore, I recommend canceling their reservation and any others that you don’t plan on using in this penalty window by 11:59 pm PST the day before the reservation so it is not considered a no-show.
I definitely understand life moving fast and sometimes you’ve gotta change plans! As a
Magic Key pass holder, too, I add our reservations to our family calendar with an alert the day before around 10 pm PST so we can be sure to cancel if we’re unable to visit the following day.
It’s a bummer that a few of your family members won’t be able to visit, hopefully, they’ll be able to make reservations to experience
Halloween Time if they haven’t already. It’s such a fun time of year to visit, and remember as a Magic Key pass holder you can hop between parks after 11 am PT so you can enjoy
Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure Park then
Halloween Screams to end the evening at Disneyland Park!
I hope this is helpful, Bryan. Have your family members hop into their
MyDisney account in the Disneyland app or online so they can make their cancellations in time. If you have any other questions, feel free to
send another message!
Adventure awaits!
Camille
