Aloha Carol!
Welcome to planDisney! As a fellow Marylander, I look forward to heading to Walt Disney World Resort in the winter months for a chance to enjoy the Florida sunshine and my favorite vacation destination. Just be sure to pack layers because it can get a bit chilly, especially in the evenings!
The luau you are thinking of was the Spirit of Aloha dinner show at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. While I have fond memories of this fun dining experience, unfortunately the luau is no longer offered. I know this may not be what you were hoping to hear, but I'd love to share a few of my favorite dining recommendations that you may enjoy.
If you're looking for dining options with a flair from the South Pacific, you'll be delighted to know that the
dining options available at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will not disappoint.
'Ohana offers the Best Friends Breakfast where you can dine with Lilo, Stitch, and other Disney friends. In the evening, 'Ohana transitions from a character dining experience to a delectable Hawaiian dinner. You won't want to miss the 'Ohana noodles and the pineapple coconut bread pudding - yum!!
These are
popular dining reservations, but I encourage you to keep trying if you don't see availability right away. As plans change for other guests, you will sometimes see reservations open up closer to your arrival date. You can also check for availability the day of your visit in the
My Disney Experience app where you can
join a walk-up list.
If you're looking for another dinner show option at Walt Disney World Resort, you can also check availability for
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. You may be trading grass skirts for cowboy hats, but both the food and the atmosphere are wonderful!
I hope you have a wonderful vacation at Walt Disney World Resort this month, Carol! Please let us know if you have any other questions we can answer as you prepare for your visit!
See ya real soon,
Kristi
