I am looking for rooms at Disney that will accommodate 6 adults and 4 small children. We could split off 3 adults and 2 kids in small and rooms that are joined. I also would like to be close to the Magic Kingdom since the kids are small.

Hi Patricia, and welcome to planDisney! I can only imagine the excitement you must be feeling as you plan your magical New Year’s celebration at The Most Magical Place On Earth in 2027. Picture this: welcoming the New Year with the spectacular fireworks show lighting up Magic Kingdom, creating memories that every member of your group will cherish.

There are indeed options available to comfortably accommodate groups of nine or more. However, the exact fit can depend on the ages of the little ones and your specific sleeping arrangements (bed versus crib/pack-and-play). I’d recommend looking into the 2- and 3-Bedroom Villa accommodations from the Deluxe Villa category. These elegant Villas are designed with families in mind and can sleep eight or twelve adults. Most 2-Bedroom Villas, for example, will feature one King Bed, two Queen Beds, a Queen-Size Sleeper Sofa, and a Twin-Size Sleeper Chair (or similar configuration). They also offer three full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living and dining area, plus a washer and dryer for your convenience.

Since being close to Magic Kingdom is your priority, booking a 2-Bedroom Villa is an excellent option. You’ll find similar accommodations at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort—all of which are considered Magic Kingdom Resorts. I encourage you to start exploring the Deluxe Villas section, and please let me know if you’d like more in-depth details about any of these resorts.

If a 2- or 3-Bedroom Villa doesn’t quite fit your budget (trust me, I understand!), you might also consider booking multiple Studio accommodations at any of the Magic Kingdom Resorts—such as the Contemporary, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, or Grand Floridian. When you check in, state your desire to have rooms near one another. While it isn’t guaranteed, my experience has been that Cast Members do their best to accommodate these requests, especially if you’re willing to wait.

I hope this information sets you on the right path, Patricia. There’s so much to love about staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, and I’d be more than happy to dig a little deeper into any specific options you’d like to explore further. Happy planning, and here’s to creating a truly unforgettable New Year’s celebration!

    Cheers,
    Brent
