Hi, I am staying at Boardwalk Villas. I will be going with my family of 9, and we will be renting a 10-passenger van. Since I am staying at the hotel, will parking be complimentary at the hotel and parks, even though the vehicle may be oversized?

    Hi Cecile!

Welcome to planDisney!  It sounds like you are well on your way to planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation that is practically perfect in every way!  Disney's BoardWalk Villas will not only provide you with plenty of space for your family of 9, but the location is amazing as you can easily walk to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Additionally, some of my favorite dining locations can be found in the resorts and area around Disney's BoardWalk, including Ale & Compass Restaurant at Disney's Yacht Club Resort, Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast at Cape May Cafe in Disney's Beach Club Resort, and Trattoria al Forno located just steps from your resort!

Cecile, since you're staying in the Disney Resorts Collection you'll enjoy many great benefits, such as complimentary parking at your resort and the theme parks.  I chatted with a very helpful Cast Member and was able to confirm that you should still be able to enjoy that complimentary parking with a 10-passenger van.  She did share that there may be designated areas where you will need to park, but it shouldn't be a problem to accommodate as Disney typically uses the "oversized" designation for larger vehicles such as RVs, buses, limos, campers, and others.  Parking rules are always subject to change, so I'd encourage you to check the Walt Disney World Resort website again before your visit for the latest information.

Before I leave, I'd like to share one more quick tip with you when traveling with a larger group.  As you continue to prepare for your trip, you'll want to make sure everyone is connected to your Family & Friends List in your My Disney Experience account.  This will allow one of you to make plans (such as purchasing Lightning Lane passes or booking advanced dining reservations) for the entire group.  Also, you'll be happy to know that Memory Maker can be shared with up to 25 people on your Family & Friends List!

Cecile, I hope this information is helpful and that you enjoy making many magical memories at Walt Disney World Resort!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
